Surface plot transparency

Is it possible to make one surface plot transparent?

I´ve seen the instructions for making a sphere transparent, but it does not seem to work for me with a surface plot.

There are many kinds of surface plots so the specific details will depend on what you are drawing. Each kind of surface plot has color properties which usually provide for an alpha channel. By setting the alpha value to something smaller than 1 you can introduce transparency. Also, you need to define a blend function and enable the blending. This can be done directly from the Gizmo menu->Enable Transparency Blend.
