Formatting wave to be in datetime format

Hi,

I created a code that took specific datetime data from a wave and took its average and put the average into a new wave. However, when the average datetime goes into the new wave, it goes in the numeric format. I need it to stay as datetime. Is there any way I can convert the data from numeric to datetime permanently? I tried double-clicking on the wave and choosing the "date and time" format in the "Modify Columns" browser. This did not work which I found out when I went to graph the average datetime and it was in the numeric format again.

For historic reasons, the date/time mode of a graph axis is chosen by setting the data units of the appropriate wave to "dat". You can have the Modify Axis dialog do this for you by selecting the Date/Time radio button in the Axis tab. You will see a message telling you that the data units were changed to achieve that setting.
