3D image from a stack of 2D images

Dear all,

I would like to prepare an image such as presented in the attached figure. I have a stack of 2D images of the (E, k_y) direction obtained at different k_x.

I have tried to use the 3D editor but all I got was an unscaled (1,1) representation which did not reflect the scaling of the images.

Please also explain how this "window" in the image could be achieved.
