Though a detailed explanation of Subversion is beyond the scope of this documentation, there are a few key concepts that are important to keep in mind when using Subversion on IgorExchange.

Read and write permissions

All users, regardless of whether they have a Subversion account or an IgorExchange account, can access the IgorExchange repository to view and/or download files. You can access the repository via the web at http://svn.igorexchange.com/ or using a Subversion client at svn://svn.igorexchange.com/

Only users who have an IgorExchange Subversion account can make changes to files in the repository, and only then to projects for which the user is either a owner or maintainer.
