A function for listing all the peaks and valleys

I have a wave with many peaks and valleys. I need a way to list all of the peaks and valleys in a table without having to go one by one to get the values for all the peaks and all the valleys, which would take much to long. Does anyone have a function or other way to determine all the peaks and valleys in a fairly concise manner. Thank you in advance.

The TN020-B Peak Areas looks like it will help me do what I need to do, but I cannot open the experiment and load the macros. I keep getting a message that tells me "This file is in use. Do you want to open it as read only?" even though no other Igor experiment is open. I was wondering if you knew of a way to get around this, so that I can use the Macros in that experiment. Thanks

This sounds like the kind of problem caused by Windows virus scanners or other intrusive software (software that affect programs other than itself) such as security software and some networking (cloud) software.

I don't get this error opening "TN020-B Peak Areas\Peak Areas.pxp" on my Windows 8 machine.

Possibly the "TN020-B Peak Areas.ifn" file has been somehow set to Read-only. You can check it in the Windows Explorer Properties window.

You can try moving the folder to another disk or another location on disk.

You can try another machine.

You can just go ahead and open it for read only if you can.
