Saving waves in general text format - unwanted carriage returns

In using

Save/G wavelist

for saving multiple text files as a single general text file, the resultant text file ends up with an additional blank line (appears as an additional carriage return in Word) between the data blocks representing each wave. Anyway to avoid this? Tried various flag combinations to no avail. Note that the source text waves have no blank rows.
General text, Save/G, requires that all waves have the same number of points.

Use delimited text - Save/J.
