Igor crashes on Windows 7

Good evening,
I'm experiencing problems with Igor 6.12A running on Windows 7.
After running an update of windows, virus scan etc. Igor started to crash: it got frozen, I cannot execute any operation except that closing using task manager?
did this ever happen to anyone? does someone know how to fix this?

We're not aware of any such problem. Try the usual:

1) Re-start your computer.

2) When that doesn't fix it, re-install igor. I would uninstall Igor first, so that you start clean. I would also recommend getting the free upgrade to version 6.22a, and when you re-install, install that version instead. It sounds like you don't have access to the Help menu, but you can just download the demo. Whether you get the update or not you will probably need your serial number and installation key info.
