Fitting data over multiple sets of data

I have three sets of data that is described by a custom fit function that has two parameters. Over all sets of data one I want to hold one of the parameters constant and let the other three be different for each set and find the best fit for the four free parameters. All three sets run over the same domain. Any ideas on how to accomplish this? If igor doesn't have a built in way of doing this any ideas on how to go about programming it myself?

I think this is what I am looking for. I wish I knew about this before I would have utilized it a lot.
