I've made do with saving my graphs as EPS file for many years, but the number of vector graphics packages supporting EPS is going down while every one support SVG.
I'd like to join this request. I always post-process graphs in inkscape which has svg as native format. I use the emf export for this at the moment in most of the cases, but there are several problems with importing afterwards. So svg support would be great.
