Create Data Table Procedure

I'm trying to automate my data analysis and need to create a button on a graph that when clicked will make a "New Table..." with "waves from the Top Graph". Any suggestions?

I have posted a snippet with a solution at http://www.igorexchange.com/node/1704. I did not create a button but rather added a menu item to the Graph menu. I leave creating a button as an exercise for the user.
