Snapshot

Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible to make automated snapshots using igor commands. I use igor codes for measurements and it would be handy to have a snapshot of the active window for future references, after the measurement is finished.

thanks a lot,
Vishal
Do you need the data or is an image of the window enough? Getting just an image it's very easy as you can utilize the clipboard for this. With the window active copy ('ctrl+c') and paste ('ctrl+v') into your favorite graphics software or even word. This only copies graph data and no panel area or controls will be included, though.
If you want to capture a picture of a window in Igor, try the Notebook operation. In the section titled "Writing Notebook Graphics Parameters" there is a keyword that let's you embed a graph image, among a few other window types. The manual reads (this is from the help browser command help tab)...

picture={objectSpec, mode, flags }
Inserts a picture based on the specified object.
objectSpec is usually just an object name, which is the name of a graph, table, page layout or picture from Igor's picture gallery (Misc->Pictures). See further discussion below.
