Small bug in "New Graph" dialogue or "append to graph"

I have many waves in my igor experiments. Sometimes I want to navigate the (x wave and y wave) scroll boxes more quickly so I'll "activate" the scroll box by clicking on one of the first waves I see, then I'll start typing the name of the wave. Often when I do that the lower half of the waves in the list will disappear. I've attached a screenshot of where the "disappearing" waves start.

In the left pane you can see the disappearing waves (there ARE waves below the one selected, that's why I've scrolled to the same locations on both x and y panes), on the right side I have not tried to navigate the list by typing anything. The selection in the left pane still works, even on the disappeared waves (you can see the selected wave at the bottom of the window if the number of points match.

So my procedure to replicate this is:

Append to graph:

Click on any wave in the "y-wave" box. Then start typing something that would correspond to a wave lower in the list.

I'm using igor 6.36. On Mac 10.9.5
On my 10.10.3 machine I can't reproduce this problem.

If you scroll up and down (by dragging the scroll bar, for instance) does that restore the list?

Is the selected wave (after typing) one that was not yet visible when you started typing?

It sounds like the list is failing to re-draw. Since it doesn't appear to affect all machines, it seems possible that it's a bug in OS X or the video driver. The lists in Igor dialogs use very ancient technology and Apple isn't always good at updating the OS without breaking old technologies. The good news is that Igor 7 has been extensively updated under the hood, so you shouldn't see this problem in Igor 7 when it is released. You will see other bugs instead :)
