Saving/Loading Igor Experiments

I am wondering if it is possible to save the state of an experiment, that is, everything associated with the current open experiment including paths, variables and waves in all data folders, panel settings, and which panels are open. Additionally, given the path and file name, I would like to be able to reopen that saved experimental state within Igor so that work may be resumed on it.
Users will no longer have to save multiple copies of the Igor program code, and there would be less confusion since there will only be one Igor file that opens all other saved data.

If you're concerned about duplicated procedure code, you should have the experiments include the code in a separate procedure file.
