How to sort a 2D wave by a column?

How to sort a 2D wave by a column?

In my case I have a wave of 9 columns and ~100 rows, and I would like to sort the rows by increasing 2nd column.
Ifigured thesort command is not the right command... whereshould I continue looking?

For what it's worth, Igor 7 (hopefully in beta soonish) has a new SortColumns operation that can be used for this purpose.
