EPS text options

When making figures for publication I often incorporate Igor graphs exported in EPS format with drawings done in adobe illustrator.
The trouble is that when exporting eps graphics from Igor, any text (as found in axis labels) is drawn as curves and is not recognized as text by AI.
I hate to make the comparison, but even in SigmaPlot there is an option when exporting eps graphics to either draw text as curves or to convert to post-script fonts.

Is there some similar option in Igor that will allow me to export graphics in eps format while using post-script fonts?
Why don't you just use the pdf export in igor? This is not only waaay more modern than eps, it's also as close as you can get to the native ai file format. I stopped using eps some time ago and never looked back (using inkscape though).
Exporting as a pdf still leads to the same unwanted behavior - text is still not recognized as text in AI.

did you try:

SavePICT/E=-2

this works for me with IGOR 6.22 and AI CS5.

Saving as a .emf file seems to do the trick - thanks!

But works only on Windows. May not be a problem for you, but should be pointed out.
